Scouting and Arrow of Light!

It has taken a while to get into Scouting after the move. Actually, Luke's troop was very welcoming and great but the Webelos kind of shut down over the summer. Eli was very dilligent none-the-less as was I! He finished all his requirements, got lots of badges and his Arrow of Light. He's LOVING being an 11-yr old scout again and being part of a scouting troop again.
Luke's scout leader is also his Primary Teacher and as is typical with Luke, she's fabulous! She's has gotten Luke involved in many different things. It was slow starting-we couldn't get Luke out of the car for 2 weeks:) but happily he's loving his group now.
This Pack Meeting was a pioneer theme and it was a blast. There was butter making, (This is Alena and her good friend Aspen)

stick pulling (Eli and his new friend Abigail)
dutch oven cobblers and cornbread(Samuel and his good friend Kaiser),
crossing the Sweetwater where the kids got a chance to put bare feet into ice cold water and see how long they could handle it,
and another game we called ladder something or other. Great night!
